British Summer Time 2022: Johnny Marr and Temples announced among others in Pearl Jam’s full line-up

The full lineup of Pearl Jam’s biggest shows in London in July – in British Summer Time 2022 – has been announced.

Johnny Marr, Pixies, Temples and The Smiths’ October Drift are just a few of the artists who will perform at the band’s signature concerts on Friday July 8th and Saturday July 9th.

The previously announced Stereophonics are also set to take the stage, alongside Imelda May, The Last Internationale and La Luz.

Johnny – who was a guitarist for the Smiths – has since had a successful solo career which saw him complete a UK arena tour last month, during which he backed rock icons Blondie.

In 2021 he also worked on last year’s James Bond film with legendary composer Hans Zimmer.

Also joining alternative rockers as headliners are psych-rock trio Temples, who will return to BST Hyde Park for the first time in seven years.

The Northamptonshire natives formed ten years ago and burst onto the music scene with their debut album Sun Structures, which quickly reached the UK Top 10.

Brighton band Tigercub – who have found success with songs Stop Beating on My Heart, IWGFU and Beauty – will perform on Saturday.

Meanwhile, pop rockers October Drift will take the stage on Friday July 8, marking the musicians’ Hyde Park debut.

Stereophonics’ place in the line-up was announced in February of this year.

An unstoppable force in the UK alternative rock scene, Stereophonics have stood the test of time, releasing 11 albums over 3 decades, racking up 7 number 1s among them.

This year marks 25 years since the band’s formation and this legendary show will be filled with Dakota hits, Maybe Tomorrow, Have a Nice Day, new single Do Ya Feel My Love and more.

This will be Stereophonics’ first major performance at the iconic Royal Park in a decade, following their monumental show in Hyde Park for the Opening Ceremony of the London 2012 Olympic Games.

In 2018, the band performed two nights at London’s O2 Arena to rave reviews, with Classic Rock calling their latest London show an “amazing end to the tour”.
