British Summer Time Festival 2022: Line-up with Elton John

The iconic singer isn’t the only big name to perform at the highly anticipated event in Londonis Hyde Park.

So what exactly is the festival, when is it, who is happening and can you still get tickets.

Here’s everything you need to know.

Elton John will perform at the British Summer Time 2022 festival in Hyde Park in London.

What is the British Summer Time Festival?

The British Summer Time Festival is now in its ninth year.

It started in 2013 and has been held every year in June and July since.

It takes place over three weekends and offers a festival experience like no other, giving music fans nine days of live music featuring legendary headliners and support from today’s rising stars.

There is also good food and drink and hospitality.

Between the three weekends there is also a free mid-week program called Open House which provides participants with free activities and entertainment.

When is BST 2022?

The festival takes place over three main weekends, with the event starting on Friday 24th June and running until Sunday 10th July.

The full dates are Friday June 24, Saturday June 25 and Sunday June 26, followed by Friday July 1, Saturday June 2 and Sunday June 3.

The final weekend of the event will take place on Friday July 8, Saturday July 9 and Sunday July 10.

Who are the main performers of BST 2022?

Some of the biggest names in the music industry will take to the stage at the festival, known as BST Hyde Park, over the three weekends.

Here’s what happens and when:

Elton John

As part of his final farewell tour, the Rocketman will take to the main stage on Friday, June 24.

The rolling stones

One of Britain’s oldest rock bands, The Rolling Stones, will perform on Saturday June 25 and Sunday July 3.


Fans can expect to hear some of Adele’s biggest hits, including Rolling in the Deep and Someone Like You, when she takes the stage on Friday July 1 and Saturday July 2.


Veteran American rock band Eagles are already in the UK for some headline gigs and will perform at the BST festival on Sunday June 26.

Another classic rock band, Pearl Jam, will stop in the UK in the middle of their European tour to perform at the festival on Friday 8th and Saturday 9th July.

What time does BST 2022 start?

On each of the nine days of the BST festival, doors will open at 2 p.m.

Can I still get tickets for BST 2022?

There are a few tickets left for BST Hyde Park, but if you want them you’ll have to be quick.

Tickets are selling out fast, with some of the main performances having already gone.

Who is hosting BST 2022?

The festival is being hosted by American Express this year, with The Amex Experience adding a range of perks to the concert, including a full-service bar.

They’ve also teamed up with Roan Records to give festival-goers the chance to browse 400 vinyl records to discover new music.

These can be found in The Amex Experience area which is open from 1pm to 9pm every day of the event.
