Camp Bestival organizers canceled the final day of the festival for safety reasons after the site was hit by wet weather.
The annual event, held at Lulworth Castle, is a four-day event that attracts thousands of music lovers to Dorset.
However, hundreds of campers began to leave the site on Sunday (July 29) due to strong winds and overnight rain.
Dorset festival organizers have reviewed when they can open their arenas every hour but have taken the decision to cancel daytime entertainment.
Guests who wish to stay at the campsite are permitted to do so.
A statement read: “Dear Camp Bestival, We are completely devastated and sorry to say that we have been advised by our security teams that we cannot reopen the arenas today due to inclement weather and the forecast for strong winds and continuous rain today.
“We had the best 3 days ever at Camp Bestival, this was our biggest show with all of our favorite performers, shows, stages and performers that we really enjoyed sharing with you all.
“You are by far the best audience at the festival and we love you very much.
“It has been such a difficult decision, but the safety of all of you, the families, the children and our staff must be of paramount importance.
“The campsites will remain open this evening if you wish to continue your stay at Camp Bestival whatever the conditions.
“Thank you so much for coming and please come home safely.
“Much love Robby, Josie and the entire Camp Bestival family…”
