Camp Bestival has confirmed a return to Lulworth Castle on Dorset’s Jurassic Coast in 2022, along with the announcement of a sister festival for this year’s edition.
As well as their usual home in Dorset, Camp Bestival will also operate in Weston Park in Shropshire, once the site of the now defunct V Festival.
Here’s everything you need to know about it.
When is Camp Bestival?
Camp Bestival have confirmed they are returning to their usual home of Lulworth Castle from Thursday July 28 until Sunday July 31, 2022.
Although Camp Bestival is hosting a second sister festival, it will not take place on the same weekend.
The dates for the Weston Park festival are Thursday August 18 to Sunday August 21, 2022.
The festival lineups over the two weeks vary slightly, but retain many of the same acts.
In Dorset, baritone troubadour Rag’n’Bone Man, sub-bassists Rudimental and a disco triumvirate with Sister Sledge, Kool and The Gang and the Earth, Wind & Fire experience with Al McKay headline weekend music.
There’s even more music, including Razorlight, Sophie Ellis-Bextor’s Kitchen Disco, Example, Shed Seven, Jo Whiley’s 90s Anthems, Faithless (DJ Set), The Proclaimers and Charlotte Church’s Late Night Pop Dungeon.
In Shropshire, Fatboy Slim leads the myriad musical treats which also include Rag’n’Bone Man and posh singer Becky Hill as headliners.
More music throughout the weekend is offered by Example, Sara Cox, Mae Muller, Shed Seven, Faithless (DJ Set), Scouting For Girls, The Proclaimers and Heather Small, among others.
