Camp Bestival at Lulworth Castle: everything you need to know, from deeds to campsite info

This weekend, thousands of music fans will flock to Lulworth Castle to Camp Bestival experience three days of family fun.

After 14 years in Dorset, the event is back again this year for an epic mix of everything from Rag ‘n’ Bone Man to Horrible Histories.

But before you head to the festivalwe have everything you need to know about gate times and ticket availability.

When is Camp Bestival at Lulworth Castle?

The three-day festival, hosted by former BBC Radio 1 DJ Rob Da Bank, will run from this Friday to Sunday (July 29-31).

Weekend ticket holders can however arrive from Thursday, for those wishing to organize their camping early.

What time do the doors open for Camp Bestival at Lulworth Castle?

For weekend ticket holders, car parks will open from 9 a.m. on Thursday while ticket offices and campsites will open at 10 a.m.

On Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, car parks and campsite entrances open at 7am.

There will be no entry or re-entry into the festival site after midnight each evening and no entry after 8:30 p.m. on Sundays.

The campsites will close at noon on Monday and the car parks at 2 p.m.

The composition of Camp Bestival?

On Friday, headliner Rag’N’Bone Man will follow indie rock band Razorlight.

The disco taps go full blast on Saturday with star-studded headliners Kool and The Gang and Earth Wind & Fire taking the stage.

To end on a high note, Sister Sledge, take to the Dorset stage ahead of pop headliner Rudimental. It all ended with the final fireworks display.

Can I pay cash or card at Camp Bestival at Lulworth Castle?

All bars and food vendors at Camp Bestival will only accept cashless payments. You can use debit or credit cards or phone apps like Google Pay and Apple Pay.

Small amounts of cash will still be needed around the site for workshops, fairground rides and other traders and retailers.

Where can I recharge my mobile at Camp Bestival?

Partygoers who want to follow their social networks, take photos or simply stay connected can charge their phone at the festival’s phone charging stand.

You can also charge in the lockers on site – but don’t forget to bring cables and plugs for your phone if you want to use this facility.
