Camp Bestival founders thrilled after Weston Park location announcement

SHROPSHIRE’S Weston Park is set to become the host site for an exciting expansion of one of the UK’s best-loved family festivals in 2022.

Camp Bestival, which is usually held annually in Dorset, has announced a sister show at its family festival in Weston Park from August 18-21.

Camp Bestival Shropshire is a brand new standalone event that brings all the unique and family essentials of the original Camp Bestival to the heart of England.

Festival co-curators Josie and Rob da Bank said they were looking forward to launching the Shropshire site next year.

“Scream! House of da Bank is about to explode with excitement that we can finally announce our first new festival in many years as we kick off Camp Bestival Shropshire,” they said.

“Located in the heart of England, Josie and I could not be prouder or more delighted to have finally found a site that is not only worthy of a second Camp Bestival, but is also exquisitely beautiful.

“Weston Park has all the elements we love, from magical forests and piles of green fields to lakes and the backdrop of a historic stately home.

“Following the success of Camp Bestival in Dorset, we are delighted to add this new event to our family of festivals to meet popular geographic and practical demand.

“We plan to give this festival as much love and attention as our Heritage Festival in Lulworth and we look forward to seeing you all again at one or the other…or maybe both.”

Tickets for Camp Bestival Shropshire will go on sale in early November with the full lineup to be announced later this year.
