Camp Bestival Shropshire unveils 2023 lineup

Don your best disguise and get ready for mischief, mayhem and music – Camp Bestival Shropshire is back for 2023!

After a smash hit in the first year, the stellar sister show to the UK’s favorite family festival returns to Weston Park (August 17-20, 2023) with headliners from primal cry and pop-royalty Rudimentary, to world stars The human league.

Arguably one of the hottest acts of the year, Man of confidence will also join the lineup to bring their feel-good party anthems, alongside festival favorites Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Melanie C.

Plus, with over 100 free activities, including Cock & Dom, Cosmic Kids Yoga with Jaime, Extreme bike battles and Wild swimming there truly is something for everyone at the magical second year of Camp Bestival in Shropshire.

Speaking at the Camp Bestival Shropshire lineup announcement, Camp Bestival curators Josie and Rob da Bank said: “Well, we just went and started a new festival right!? We couldn’t have been happier with the venue, the weather, the crowds and the atmosphere. Oh yes and paddling around a beautiful lake with our kids!A dream!So we’re back for 2023 hoping to raise the levels even further by introducing a brand new Camp costume parade, raft building and lots of fun! cool new little pop-ups to mega pop stars and indie giants on the main stage. See you in the garden at Weston Park in August!

Brand new for 2023, Shropshire will host the Grand Camp Costume Parade – a non-themed costume party, whether you make a costume, buy it, DIY it with what’s in your closet, or visit the Dressing Up tent on site, the parade will be a treat for eyes and soul!

Iconic Scottish rock band primal cry will lead the line-up at Camp Bestival Shropshire 2023. Led by founding member and rock royalty Bobby Gillespie, Primal Scream has a back catalog of over 35 years, including hits such as ‘Movin’ On Up’. Rudimentary will return with a medley of era-defining pop hits, while early international synth-pop superstars The human league will take us back to the 80s with singing bangers like “Don’t You Want Me”.

After breaking a Guinness World Record at Camp Bestival Dorset 2022, the disco diva Sophie Ellis-Bextor joins the line up alongside 90s pop icons Melanie C and East 17, plus a DJ set from one of the UK’s most popular dance groups Groove Armada.

Currently at the top of playlists around the world, Man of confidence will also join the lineup to perform hit songs from their feel-good party album. Still at the height of her meteoric success at Eurovision, Sam Ryder will take the stage at Camp Bestival and singer-songwriter Ella Henderson will entertain the crowds with his huge pop hits.

Speaking on Camp Bestival’s lineup, East 17 said “Who said you can’t create the Christmas spirit in the summer?” We can’t wait to bring a festive East 17 extravaganza to Shropshire for our Camp Bestival debut! Take out the white down jackets and see you soon in the fields.

Pioneers of death metal in the UK, hailing from the West Midlands Death by Napalm also join the line-upwhile alternative rock band The pop will be eaten will inject some indie and industrial rock into the weekend.

The fun continues with a sensational range of family favorites to delight crowds over four jam-packed days in the spectacular gardens of Weston Park. Of Cosmic Kids Yoga with Jaime to the misdeeds and songs of Mr Tumble and The Cuban Brothers, Dick and Dom, Mr maker, and horrible stories, there’s enough family fun for everyone. For thrill seekers, there is Extreme bike battlesroller discos, mega skate ramps and even a Parachute of the Red Devils display!

the infamous Circus Jewelry will return to Shropshire with a stunning new circus performance ‘The Silent Forest Show’. Camp Bestival Shropshire will also partner with World Wildlife Fund (WWF) for the 2023 edition of the festival with a complete activity yet to be discovered.

Pioneers of the wellness movement and curators of Camp Bestival, Josie and Rob da Bank are extremely passionate about the unique wellness activities offered in pristine Weston Park. Yoga and meditation, Rob da Bank’s sleep retreatand from ice baths, to wild swimming, paddleboarding, raft building and SUP Yoga, families can enjoy reflective moments along the shores of beautiful Temple Wood Lake throughout the weekend.

Elsewhere on the lineup, families can expect Fearne Cotton, badly drawn boy, Caity Baser, Bez and Rowetta, Elvana – Elvis Fronted Nirvana, The Bootleg Beetles, T’PAU, The Smyths, Hot Dub Time Machine, The Dolly Show, Goldie Lookin Chain as well as many, many more.
