Glastonbury Festival 2022 line-up and headliners: all acts confirmed so far

Glastonbury Festival is back in 2022 after a two-year absence.

The world-renowned music festival is set to return to Somerset this summer after two years of cancellations due to the coronavirus pandemic.

More than 200,000 people will descend on Worthy Farm in Pilton at the end of June.

But who has been confirmed as performing at the festival?

Although there have been many rumors and speculations, only a few acts have been officially confirmed by the Glastonbury Festival.

In October, it was revealed that Billie Eilish, 19, will headline the Pyramid Stage on the Friday night of the festival.

The musician will be the youngest headliner of the Glastonbury Festival.

The American singer-songwriter enjoyed a meteoric rise after her 2015 hit debut single, Ocean Eyes, took the world by storm.

Since then, the teenager has achieved a chart-topping debut album in the UK, alongside seven Grammy Awards, two Brit Awards and many other major music accolades.

Billie Eilish will headline The Pyramid Stage after performing on The Other Stage in 2019.

Glastonbury Festival co-organizer Emily Eavis said: “We couldn’t be happier to announce that the wonderful Billie Eilish will headline The Pyramid on Friday at next year’s Glastonbury Festival. , becoming the youngest solo headliner in our history.

“It seems like the perfect way for us to come back and I can’t wait!”

In November, it was confirmed that Diana Ross would be heading to Worthy Farm next summer.

The Motown star will play the famous Sunday Legends slot on the Pyramid Stage which will mark his festival debut

The 77-year-old will follow in the footsteps of previous ‘legends’ such as Kylie Minogue, Lionel Richie, Dolly Parton and Tom Jones.

The American singer, songwriter and actress will bring hits such as I go out, There’s no mountain high enough, Upside down and Unending I love Somerset.

Emily Eavis wrote on Twitter: “I am delighted to be able to let you know that the magnificent Diana Ross will be performing at the Glastonbury Festival next summer.

“We were so excited to book such a legend for Glastonbury 2020 and are so happy that she is the first to be reconfirmed for next year.”

Earlier this month, festival organizer Emily Eavis appeared on BBC Radio One to talk about the latest from Glasto.

She joined Radio One DJ Clara Amfo on Future Sounds, discussing this year’s event, but also dropped a West Holts Stage headliner.

Emily has revealed that British rapper Little Simz is set to headline West Holts Stage and has ‘confirmed’.

Little Simz went on to win a Brit Award just days after the radio announcement.

The rapper won Best New Artist at the awards show on Feb. 8, and she brought her mom on stage to accept her award.

“Look what you did, mom,” she said, in one of the most emotional moments of the ceremony.

Other confirmations

A few other lesser-known acts have also been confirmed for Glastonbury Festival 2022.

RAE will perform at Worthy Farm in 2022 after winning the festival’s emerging talent competition.

The hip-hop and R&B artist from south-east London was due to appear in 2021 after winning the competition in 2020, but will now appear this year instead.

The Strays will also perform at the 2022 Glastonbury Festival after winning the Pilton Stage competition.

The retro-inspired punk pop quartet came out on top in the annual Pilton Working Men’s Club competition.
