Glastonbury Festival 2022: McFly, Sugababes, The Hoosiers and more added to line-up

Over 25 new names have been added to the Glastonbury Festival lineup for 2022.

The line-up poster has been revealed for the Field of Avalon area – the first of any section of the festival this year – and features a host of big names including McFly, Sugababes, The Hoosiers, The Damned, Nick Mulvey and more.

The newly announced performers will join existing names already announced by the festival last month, which includes headliners Billie Eilish, Paul McCartney and Kendrick Lamar.

Former Beatles star Sir Paul McCartney will headline Saturday night, which will become his second time topping the Pyramid Stage. Meanwhile, Billie Eilish will become the festival’s youngest solo headliner on Friday night. American rapper Kendrick Lamar will complete the headlining trio on Sunday night.

Elsewhere in the first wave of announced acts are Foals, Lorde, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, Olivia Rodrigo, Wolf Alice and Years & Years. Diana Ross will also play the Legends slot on Sunday afternoon.

The second wave of acts now released by the festival will all play the Field of Avalon stage throughout the five-day festival which is due to take place from June 22 to June 26, although exact times have yet to be released. for different actions.

Fans can start to get excited for festival season as preparations are already underway at Worthy Farm. The Pyramid stage is starting to take shape after three years of inactivity due to back-to-back coronavirus cancellations.

Resale tickets went live on March 27 and sold out within minutes, meaning if you haven’t already got a ticket for the five-day festival this year, you’ll have to wait another year.
