How YOU could play Glastonbury Festival – but be quick

10:38 am February 2, 2022

It’s every budding musician’s dream: to play at the Glastonbury Festival.

And this is your chance.

The festival has unveiled details of the 2022 Emerging Talent Competition, which gives artists from all musical genres the chance to perform on one of Worthy Farm’s hallowed stages.

“The competition gives new UK and Ireland-based artists from all musical genres the chance to compete for a place on one of the main stages at this year’s festival,” a spokesperson said.

Winners of the free competition will also receive a £5,000 talent development prize from the PRS Foundation to help take their writing and acting to the next level.

Two finalists will also each receive a PRS Foundation Talent Development Award of £2,500.

Artists of all musical genres can enter the competition using a form on the Glastonbury Festival website only until 5pm on Monday 7 February.

To enter, cast members must provide a link to an original song on SoundCloud, as well as a link to a live video of themselves – even if it’s only recorded in a bedroom.

The competition is again supported by PRS for Music and PRS Foundation.

Previous contest winners include She Drew The Gun and The Subways, who won the first contest in 2004.
