‘Piano Man’ star Billy Joel is set to headline British Summer Time in 2023
The 73-year-old American singer-songwriter will take the stage on July 7.
The piano man performance at British Summer Time (BST) will be his only European appearance in 2023.
And it’s believed to be the first time the star – whose other songs include the huge hits We didn’t light the fire and Uptown Girl – played in the UK for about five years.
The announcement comes shortly before the release of Billy Joel: Live at Yankee Stadiuma film marking the star’s 50-year career.
Other acts are expected to appear at the Highly Appreciated BST event next summer include Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band.

This summer, Mr Elton John performed as part of his Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour.
The first presale tickets will be available for American Express cardholders from 10 a.m. Thursday.
Tickets are fixed at goes on general sale at 10 a.m. on October 6.
The festival started in 2013 and takes place over several weekends, featuring headliners and support from today’s rising stars.
