The theme for next year’s Camp Bestival has been revealed

There will be lights, cameras and lots of action when Camp Bestival turns into a Hollywood-style movie in 2020.

News of the big screen theme marks the first announcement of the family festival at Lulworth Castle next year from July 30 to August 2.

Festival curator Rob da Bank has promised an action-packed lineup and blockbuster headliners to be announced early next year.

He said: “We all love going to the cinema and watching movies with our kids, so why not bring it to life in a field in 2020?! We have mind-blowing facilities for you and some once-in-a-lifetime memory makers.

From epic blockbusters and film noir, to Bollywood kings and queens and frantic adventures on the high seas, families will travel back in time from Hollywood’s Golden Age to the latest Marvel and Manga craze .

And tickets are selling out fast. More than 50% of the tickets are already sold.

If you order tickets before December 10 for a family Christmas present, you’ll receive limited-edition Camp Bestival 2020 iron-on patches for kids, and a Camp Bestival Christmas card in time for the big day, plus a exclusive Josie da Bank line-up pictured early next year when the first acts for 2020 are announced.

New for 2020 will be an outdoor cinema featuring beloved cult classics remixed by favorite DJs, sing-along movie nights, theater workshops and meet-and-greet sessions with the writers. Some movie-related special guests will be revealed early next year.
