HUNDREDS of sleep-deprived Britons have taken to Twitter to complain about dragging themselves out of bed an hour earlier after the clock changed.

British Summer Time officially started at 1am this morning, but cloudy-eyed workers were quick to complain about the lack of sunshine and chilly temperatures.

Sleepy Britons woke up to wintry conditions after the clocks moved forward to mark British Summer Time this morning

Many lamented their lack of sleep, using memes to highlight their exhaustion and anger at having “been cheated out of an hour of sleep”.

Stunned parents and shift workers were the hardest hit by the early start this Sunday morning.

Others joked that they were waking up to winter as temperatures remained chilly across Britain.
