Who are the headliners at Camp Bestival 2022 in Dorset and what festivals have they played before

Camp Bestival returns this summer – promising another weekend of music, comedy and fun for kids of all ages.

The family festival is now in its 14th year and shows no signs of slowing down – with an all-star lineup of acts due to grace the stages of Lulworth Castle between July 28 and 31.

This year’s theme is Desert Island Disco and includes performances from some of the most iconic bands of the 1970s.

The Dorset show has proven so popular over the years that organizer Rob da Bank has revealed a new sister event will be held in the West Midlands in August.

Who’s headlining Camp Bestival at Lulworth Castle this year?

Rob da Bank has revealed that the headliners for the 2022 Dorset event will be Rudimental and Rag ‘n’ Bone Man.

Headlining the main stage on Saturday will be Rag ‘n’ Bone Man, aka Rory Graham, who has become a global superstar over the past four years following the release of his record-breaking, triple-platinum debut album Human – which featured a mix of pop, hip-hop and soul.

Last year saw the release of follow-up Life by Misadventure, which became the best-selling album of 2021, cementing their place as one of the biggest bands on the planet.

In 2017, when he won the British Breakthrough Act and the Critics Choice Award at the Brit Awards, he performed on the other stage at Glastonbury.

Other UK festival appearances include Parkilfe, TRNSMT, Sundown and Bestival.

Organizers of the Lulworth Castle event believe he is “one of the best headliners of the summer”.

Sunday night’s headliners are Rudimental, the British drum ‘n’ bass band who shot to fame in 2013 after their debut album Home debuted at number one on the UK charts and were subsequently nominated for a Mercury MusicPrize.

Over the past decade they’ve performed at nearly every festival – headlining Glastonbury’s Other Stage in 2015, while also playing T in the Park, Latitude, Wilderness, V, Isle of Wight – the list is long.

Now four albums into their career, the band, made up of songwriters and producers Piers Agget, Kesi Dryden and Amir Amor, plus DJ Locksmith, remain one of the most exciting around – so festival-goers can expect a loud and energetic finale for the weekend. music.

In keeping with the Desert Island Disco theme, the “holy trinity” of Sister Sledge, the Earth Wind & Fire ft. Al. McKay and Kool & The Gang experience will offer crowds the chance to catch Saturday night fever.

Indie favorites Shed Seven are also set to return to the festival, along with Faithless, The Cuban Brothers, Sophie Ellis-Bextor and The Proclaimers.

Entertainment in the form of Dick & Dom, Cosmic Kids Yoga, Horrible Histories: Terrible Tudors and Brainiac Live: Remixed will provide something to enjoy with the family.

Meanwhile, TV comedian Ed Byrne is among the comedians aiming to make festival-goers laugh.
